Why does light at night disturb our sleep?
Light at night disturbs our sleep and our circadian rhythm or “body clock” .
Our body clock relies on natural light and other elements, to figure out the time to be awake or to go to sleep.
So if there is light flooding in our circadian rhythm thinks its time to be awake so it suppresses a myriad of chemicals, including melatonin.
If however it is dark, the more melatonin is produced and your circadian rhythm thinks its time for bed.
